if you replace everything SEO with networking

alex: I can definitely connect with the guy

James: there's a whole world of networking

and the goal is leverage

you dont really want to network much yourself

you just want to post, talk to some people about it, and get the viral benefits

THATS leverage, because you can do that over and over and sometimes you'll get really big results, despite getting very little attention in the majority of things you do

James: search engine optimization

couldn't get your blog to rank for anything when it had pr2, even things i was dead sure it would rank for

so if you can achieve what he achieved using NETWORKING LEVERAGE, I think that would work

and the legacy of the social networking challenge continues...

"linking"

James: ok, so, linking = a link's text tells google what the page is about (like a vote) and a link's authority (what page rank it comes from and how well it relates) tells google what significance the vote has

but here's the thing

MY LINKS BRING IN MORE TRAFFIC THAN ALL MY VIDEOS COMBINED, AND I ONLY HAVE A FEW WELL PLACED LINKS

about.com and a couple of the forums in particular

so that's how that applies to you

cuz the SEO just anit worth it to you UNLESS you can find a political niche

but usually that's thought of as your opinion... we're talking words

like there's a lot of stuff on nutrition, a lot of stuff on anti-aging, but not much on anti-aging nutrition... that's a niche withing nutritional health

alex: so I don't need to worry about adsense

yet

James: well adsense is how you make money

so, of course not

i think that interview kind of drives that point home

alex: yeah

James: if i cared about money i'd be making about $1000 / month right now, pretty much guarenteed

but i dont. i care about becoming a millionaire

so im still only making $100 a month... and instead im working on my conversion systems and ad's for PPC hardcore

so i can then split test my way right to the top

can't do that with shitty advertising

drains all the money, even $1000 a month

James: i find it funny when im networking because only dennis karganilla gets the big stuff so far

everyone else, my superiors in the feild, they don't know what they're doing or they do but they're very much in the box with it
