I'm committed to not thinking about political news but it just got the best of me for the last 30 minutes.
So here's my commitment to getting back on track... I'll say this and be done with it. No masterminding this one. This is for documentation.
I believe the government's job is to protect us (even if that means thousands of laws including provisions to stop advertisers from filling our mailboxes and to prevent big companies from shiting on their employees.)
I DO NOT buy into this re-distribution of wealth (via "stimulus bills" and "free health care") shit for one second. I believe you should have to earn your way, taking total responsibility for your own life. NO spoon feeding from the government. This wasn't the vision of the founding fathers in the slightest!
-Politics and relationships are to be kept separate. I need to remember this. Only time they should overlap in when I'm starting to think of leaving the USSA and my friends are supporting the socialist movement... if I'm actually getting ready to leave... fuck them. We're not going to have a hunky dory relationship if you're not considering the fact that it's people like you driving people like me out of the country. With that said, I will probably never leave the USSA... I will just find more and more ways around paying taxes.
