Capitalism and Socialism Go Hand in Hand
It's wrong to be against or for either one.
I've long looked at capitalism as not a political stance, but a pure characteristic of nature -- people will always trade.
And for some reason, I didn't see Socialism the same way. It is a pure characteristic of nature -- people will always look out for eachother.
If you aren't selfish enough to take care of yourself, you won't be fit to care well for others. Happiness leads to selflessness.
If you aren't selfless enough to take care of others, you won't be taken care of. Selflessness leads to happiness.
These go together.
Drive profit. Make a good deal. Make people pay you well and they will value their money well spent and they will see that their investment goes to good use.
At the same time, don't let the profiteers destroy the planet. Don't stand for a con. Watch out for people and people will watch out for you.
They go hand in hand.
The confusion is where they conflict. There's issues in the grey zone where lines need to be drawn and decisions made. But it should never be one over the other. A win win solution is always going to be the best one in the long term.
It's time to stop casting a blankets over this issue. Let the bias go. Explore each issue, be indifferent, and lay back until you understand the whole issue and all the sides.

Droppin' G's
I feel like I need to post a quick description how awesome things are right now in case I ever need to look back on these times.
My Wells totals for June and July thus far are:
Income $13,398.88
Expenses $9,765.22
Current Cash $11,999.82
Those expenses are pretty high. Actually, they're WAY TOO HIGH. I am blowing waay too much money droppin' G's...
Father's Day: We're taking you to the highest end resort in town. 1 night, a few bars, dinner, and brunch... even after help from Mom... over a G.
Steven's Wedding: flight + an extra 200 to extend it, staying an extra day for an extra 200, excursion wedding gift of 200... ended up around 2 G's.
Bryan wants me coming to Chicago for Riot fest. Fine, I'll do it. Dropped another G.
All those expenses are in the reports for only the LAST 6 WEEKS.
And yet, my bank account has still grown over 5 G's to become 5 figures again. And I have documents in on over 15 G's in more deals expected to book in the next 6 weeks.
Just gotta stop droppin' those G's... it's time for ROARS to begin its return. That's where the G's need to go.

Utah's Brian Head vs. California's resorts
http://www.edcutah.org/ut-ca_comparisons.php
http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/561-S-Vasels-Rd_Brian-Head_UT_84719_M27368-28473?row=60
Why bring it up?
Brian Head resort was purchased just 1 year ago and the new owner has already invested heavily into increasing the value (new high speed quad lift and night-skiing lighting), and the resort just had one of it's busiest seaons on record.
Fully booked Cedar Brooks and The Grand Lodge indicates that there is a significant demand for rentals during the ski season.
Year round resort & best ski resort local to southern Utah, Northern AZ, and Las Vegas.
Talking with several owners, they appear happy and say things are going well, value seems to be on the rise.
Healthy economy indicates more traffic and demand.

Ski Trip -- President's Day Weekend
Alright potential skier and snowboarder homies. It’s
midwinter madness time.
What: ’15 Ski Trip
Where: Near Salt Lake City, Utah! You
vote:
Brighton – best prices around $75 a ticket and 5’
snow. 66 runs on 1,750 vertical ft.
Snowbird – most runs and vertical terrain given the
5’ depth of snow. 89 runs on 3,240 vertical ft.
Park City – this is where they train for the
Olympics. Only 4’ snow, but 114 runs on 3,100 vertical ft.
They’re all close. Maybe 1 per day?
When: 2/14 – 2/16 (President’s Day weekend…
paid holiday at LEAF.)
Price:
Lift tickets about $200 (2 days), $300 if you want to ski on
President’s Day as well.
Gas – only asking for $50 round trip, but it is optional
(I’m going up either way, so I will pay for gas 100% if money is tight for you…
because I’d rather have you there.)
Room – Lance apparently has friends up there, so possibly
FREE here. If not, probably going to be $100 per head.
Total: $300 – 400 (before food & alcohol)
Deets:
Friday we head up after lunch. Drive is going to be
around 10 hours including about 3 stops.
Check in Friday night.
Saturday and Sunday – hit the slopes.
Monday – optional hit the slopes some more before driving
home.
Salespitch:
So were talking about world class resorts, some of the
absolute best, most powdery snow in the world (and it’ll be snowing a fresh
layer for us this week at all 3 resorts), on top of a 5’ base, and just about
everything is open.
Even if you’re not a big skier, these are world class views
up in the world famous Rockies… so it’s great place to bring your girl or
friends and hang out. There are few places better in the world to kick
back and have a few.
Since So. Cal is having it’s 4th year in a row of
terrible snow, this may be your only chance this season to get some real snow!
Anyone you want to invite is invited… please RSVP by
Thursday if possible… better to reserve rooms a week in advance if we need to
do that.
